LAN XXIV Transport Help

Just throwing this in here, I will be driving down from Manchester, to arrive for thursday. If I can help anyone out along the way, even if just to car share to save petrol, I am happy to

My other half Feezuki will be arriving Friday at some point by train. This being the case please put me down as taxi runs from March station to hotel on Friday. Also I can do a pick up of international chaps on Thursday and it does not really bother me if it is Heathrow or Stansted as I am coming from south of M25 but not both

I don't have a big car and will have my own stuff so 2 possibly 3 is the max I can take.

On the return I will have Feezuki with me so even less room, but I might be able to fit a small wafer thin person's in.

Just wondering if anyone needs any transport help still for the LAN?

Going to do a Half day Thursday so am aiming to leave work about 12:00 should arrive at the LAN about 15:00?

Traveling up from Kent via M25,M11, then onto March.

Returning Sunday when all the action is over.

OP updated. Looks like we have a good supply of drivers so we should hopefully be fine.

Questions remaining:

Airport: London Heathrow
We have 6 people arriving on Thursday. I can fit 6 in the car, but it would be best if we had say 1 additional car so we took 3 each plus bags.

Can I ask if you are confirmed as being able to help on the Thursday and Sudnay return trip Sulky? Between you and me we'd pick up Albert, Kakehund, Spiritus, Faust, Othbarty & Soon Jung.

If anyone is passing LHR earlier on Thursday then please shout, otherwise ALbert has a 3 hour coffee break @ LHR after his 08:00 arrival until the 11:05 arrivals.

Airport: London Stansted
This looks ok assuming Ayla is picking up Michelanio, Ninja is picking up Duvel and Ninja is doing the return trip for both Michelanio & Duvel.

Other Lifts Needed
No peanuts - needs a lift on Thursday & back. GhostMjr can I ask if you could pick up No peanuts from either LHR/any London tube/Maidenhead as you round the M25 please? If Sulky can't help with LHR then we might need it to be an LHR meet as you'd be the backup plan for the LHR collections if he can't do it!

Other Drivers Who Could Help
These are currently 'spare' drivers who we do not currently expect to be needed:
Chaosphere - driving down from Manchester on Thursday - shout if anyone is en route and wants to consider a car share
Sneaky - offered Ayla who is already driving down in her own car - where and when are you available to help please Sneaky?

Please can people check the above and confirm if they can do what is planned so that we can confirm things in the OP.

I can certainly get to March from Maidenhead by Train, a lift would just be cheaper and easier. If someone is available to offer a lift, I'd be happy to travel to LHR or any of the London Tube stations.
But eitherway, it won't be a problem. I'll get there somehow

I can pick up from Cambridge or Ely train stations, if that helps.

If I wasn't the other side of the M25 I'd pop over and pick Peanuts up. Traveling clockwise rather than anticlockwise isn't something I was planning to do especially during daylight hours.

Is anyone driving up from that side of the M25?

I can only carry 1 passenger but I can take all the luggage in the back of the van....Can do both thurs and sunday if that's any use?...

Sorry Sneaky, I'm still confused. In order to try to organise the travel schedule I need to know where people are travelling from/which airports they can get to and which day. Ayla' has already posted in this thread that she is driving down on Friday and you offered to pick her up(!) so I presumed you were available on Friday(?). As Ayla is driving herself, I just wanted to check to see if your offer meant you were available to help someone else.

So, back to the original question, if anyone wants to help pick people up then if you could let us know in this thread which airport, which day, roughly what time etc then we can see what help can be given or indeed if it is still needed!
