Yep i know a lot of Xboxers and the gold seems a prerequisite for getting the most out of the console, multiplayer, chat, media stuff etc.

I just sold my xbox and traded all my games in at game. Which if you get steam vouchers for the moment will get you a extra 25%

My ps3 is essentially now a blue ray player with various "smart TV" streaming services. Which is what i wanted it for. That and gt5... Ironically it doesn't do live iPlayer so I am setting up a raspberry pi for that...

gonna be giving the xbox one a good look at eurogamer then i'll see which 1 i pre order but tbh i'm liking the features xbox has skype,iplayer ,hdmi pass thru, i do like the idea of basically having my tv guide voice activated.
