Guys, and Gals

I am unfortunately having to step-down from position as RGT raider, an opportunity in Real Life.

As most know - I run a football team in the sunday amateur football league.
We have been given an amazing opportunity to encourage grassroots football in the community, starting with an Under 16's side and hopefully progressing through to Under 8's and even had a couple of girls asking about ladies football as well.
So I know there is definite interest out there.

At present the Local SFL side Annan Athletic have rule over all youths in the area due to their geographical position and isolation from other major footballing teams.

They have disbanded a couple of their youth set ups, and annoyed many more - so I know the interest for these players for a new team is desperate and I would like for our team to be that answer.

The unfortunate thing that has caused me to write this post came from a meeting I had with the "would-be" youth team coaches:
To promote professionalism a number of things must change, but the key thing here is that to train as a "club" and not separate entities on different days.

And guess which days to train on?  Yup thats right.... Tuesday, Thursday (6pm -=> 8pm) and games/training on a Sunday

Its not an easy decision to do this, I love playing this game, and love raiding with you all.  But to be given the chance to be an integral part of this evolution of our club is too great to pass up.
Being able to give something back to the community in the way of grassroots has probably came 4 or 5 years sooner than we expected as a club but nevertheless welcomed with open arms.

I shall still be playing WoW, just not between 6pm->8pm so impacts on raid nights and hence not fair to ask for my position to be kept open.  I shall be available whenever I can make it on those nights but also realise that position will be filled which is understandable and totally expected.  I will also still be playing other games in the community - am not going anywhere - you aren't getting rid of me just yet.

Cheers for taking the time to read the post :)

Milli !!!!!!!!!!!! oh noes what shall i do without my innervate !!!

but apart from that, good luck :)

hugs xx

Milli

I'm not jumping ship straight away so you'll still have a few innervates till I go - am just letting all know in advance to give time to get replacement in place.  If one is found quickly then it allows pre season to start quicker also. But won't officially step away until all is ok within RGT.

Damn!  Hope the football side goes well Milli and we still expect you to haunt us at the LAN (and haunt Whitey on the 5 hour drive down!).   We very much appreciate being given notice, so a huge thank you for that and everything you have done for RGT & DMR over the years!

Sounds like a challenge!   Good luck with it mate and thanks for raiding with us, it's been a blast.  Hopefully you can still join us for the occasional Friday night fun run?

Common sense is not a gift, it`s a punishment
As you have to deal with everyone who does not have it...

Ohh, nice one.
A BIG Good Luck and I wont say Enjoy because I know you will. Training kids is so much fun. (Did a short stint when my daughter played)
Sad for RGT but since you arent going anywhere were still have "Oomkin" around.
