wow and ftp

but the whole game.
as most mmo's now have gone the ftp route.

Why would a company drop that much money?.... They still have millions of subscribers who pay £80 a year... Would you drop that?...

I think  they may drop it slightly to try and get more people online and older players back but who knows!

It might at some point in the future. Like when Blizzard decides that moving on is a better move than keeping this game going with regular updates and stuff.

You know, when level 150 and 200M white damage from Rogues is a reality or something like that.

I don't think they have really said anything believable yet, seeing as talk started in 2008 and that they moved 70% of the dev team away from 'project titan' to other Blizzard Projects only two months ago.    They've also pushed out any potential release date until 2016 at the earliest, so I think we can safely say that as it is so far off in the future 'anything' could happen with Titan, therefore nothing is known!

As an aside and back on-topic, Blizzard did recently confirm in a blue that it had no current plans for WoW to go ftp.   Which means it might be ftp by 2016......!!

Blizzard's to-be-announced massively multiplayer game, codenamed Titan, has allegedly been rebooted and delayed. According to VentureBeat, the Blizzard team of 100 reassigned 70% of the project's staff, leaving a small team to start over. Titan is tentatively planned for a 2016 release, at best.

Which to means that they really don't know what they have and what they do know they have they know is too small to charge anyone for the privilege of playing it. It doesn't reference anything about WoW though.
