The maths of cancer is easy, one out of every three people will suffer from cancer in their lifetime.   Therefore, unless you know an exceptionally small group of very lucky people, you could say that everyone on this planet either has or will suffer from cancer themselves or knows someone whose life has already been affected by cancer.   If you are someone who doesn't, then perhaps you don't know as much about your friends/family as you previously thought!

I know relatives & friends who have suffered and so I found this article a positive read.  It seems that scientists are making headway in finding ways of mass-producing cells that can destroy cancer cells.

The above-linked article is easier to read for non-scientists, but the full Nature article (with a lot more science content) can be read here (assuming you have access)- it has a seriously memorable title:

Thanks for the link.

I'm not sure if this is the same branch of research but it seems to attack cancer in a similar way. It's inspiring stuff and confirms that evidence based science is the route to combatting the things that would harm us and not homeopathic, crystal healing astrological bullshit quackery

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.
