I'm getting back into gaming after a good few years off, and joined up here at BrotherTobious' recommendation. Just waiting for Scan to finish building me a PC that'll play anything more taxing that Minesweeper... I used to be in a small-but-perfectly-formed (or misshapen-and-lumpy, depending on who you believe) clan called downgraded, playing CS, BF1942 and UT iCTF. Also played quite a lot of Grand Prix Legends, so I'm definitely up for getting some races in!

BrotherTobious

Welcome NIU good to have you aboard mate, get your self some cs:go and Arma 3 see you on the servers.

Ha like your name.

Ironically Toby's also small-but-perfectly-formed  so I can see why you get on.

Hello and welcome :D

Welcome Niu, if you're up for some racing, have you tried Live for Speed? (free unlimited demo and licence info available at //www.lfs.net) always a few of us about racing most nights on the lfs servers.

Have fun :)

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

I'm a long time out of gaming, so my last CS was Source, but will pick up GO as soon as the new box arrives. I played a bit of LFS when it first came out, but will get S2 as well. Is that the preferred racing sim at the moment? Not played anything newer in Battlefield, but have just picked up the Origin Humble Bundle, so now I have a copy of BF3 waiting to slowly download from EA's servers. Always liked the helicopters in Desert Combat, so hopefully there's some fun stuff to fly in the new one!

BrotherTobious

You will be gettng Arma 3

I will be getting Arma 3

Seriously, though, lots of helicopters and realistic combat? Looks great, at least until I plough my first field with a tail rotor...

It is for us, it may be a while since it had a serious update but there's still plenty of life in s2, especially if you have never driven it before. Main race night is Thursday at 8:30pm UK time but as said before there's usually a few about most nights practising/racing. We also race with DM® who host races on a Sunday evening. Always good, clean and friendly racing on both servers.

Blunt

Well whichever game you play, even if it has in-game comms, join us on Teamspeak.
