Hi all,

Just a quick question really,

I often use my nexus for navigation purposes which is extremely helpful due to not being able to drive/using public transport. However it would seem Google "navigation" has been updated/integrated into Google maps, while I was able to use Google maps today to get to my destination I still found it hard to do this process in my phone for the following reasons.

1) Don't know how to enable voice (i.e. turn right in 100 yards).

2) it showed me a grid view rather than a Google maps/street view.

So I basically had to interpret where to go as I did'nt want to come off that screen to look at the directions as it would of made no sense to me anyway as I didn't know where I was going.

Is there a simpler way to it?

Hopefully I've made the above clear in what I'm trying to explain!

Cheers DD.

I think you need to click once more on the location which should have the travel time to the right in blue text. This brings you into the navigation proper. It's basically an extra step as it's now possible to check for alternative routes from the previous screen. When you're in navigation you can then turn voice navigation on and off by selecting the option from the settings panel, accessed by touching the three little dots in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.
