To track your Sha Corruption stacks, go to this link:

then use the drop down menu at the top to change the 'Player' to yourself
then click on the 'Buffs Gained' tab
then look at the middle column marked 'Debuffs' and find the 'Sha Corruption' spell
Click the '#' mark to the right of the Sha Corruption spell

This will give you a timeline of when you got the debuff and if you mouse over it you can see the number of stacks you got across the whole night's tries.    To focus on just one try simply use the drop down menu at 'Full Report' and select Wipes>Immerseus and then select the individual try you want to see.   This will allow a much easier timeline graph.


Overall we had decent progress on this boss, we passed the 2nd intermission so just past the halfway point on the fight.

Swirl Safe Zone:
The Swirl safe zone was tremendously helpful, we just need ot make sure people have enough time to get there, healers in particular and we need to ensure tanks are dispelled prior to running away from Swirl - or that tanks follow the raid closer to the safe zone so that healers can get back to them more quickly afterwards.    I think a combination of things here will help.

DPS Priorities
My general feeling from last night was that we have yet to find and become comfortable with the dps 'rythym' of the fight.    I think we tunnel visioned on the boss (and failed to watch our stacks) and once on adds we tended to stick to them beyond when our debuff ticked off - we need to remember to do a bit of both.   So long as we are not physically drowning in adds, we should make sure that when our Sha Corruption debuff ticks off, that we attack the boss again to regain more stacks, then return to clearing up the adds.

I'll be trying to do some more reading around the encounter tomorrow, if everyone else can also do this and post what we find please to assist.

Zanee, I know you have already tried this fight, can you add your comments here for what you did and the problems/solutions you have already come across please?   The more help (from everyone) we have the better!

Got some good attempts yesterday, I thought maybe we should dedicate dispell the tank, we have a very short response time because of all the mechanic is going on.
 Jas suggested at a time punt that we split tank heal again think it was a good idea since due to the same thing as in dispell we move around and get out of range, know everyone is careful. There are some who suggest that a healer stands for itself to heal the tank which is on the boss, not sure it's the best but may be an option, the ability to bring more DPS and 2 heal, can be when we get track of the different mechanics we can succeed but does not see it as an opportunity atm..

 The last here just to keep in mind: As the fight progresses, the number of Contaminated Puddles increase and IT Becomes more important for healers two gain the buff from standing Within 12 yards of an add as it gets fully healed.

Re-iterating Sha Corruption stack damage:

1 Stack - 2,500 tick
2 stacks - 8,750 ticks
3 stacks - 20,000 ticks
4 stacks - 45,000 ticks
5 stacks - 100,000 ticks
6 stacks - 175,000 ticks
...............etc

I like the idea of tank movement into the raid post corrosive blast to ease add dps.

And now that the other damage is going down, I quite like the priority: Safe zone if it is close by, or run anti-clockwise through Swirl (350k hit but survivable).

Healers, also remember you get 25% mana back when you are in range of a friendly add when it gets healed to 100%.

You know when you're looking at something and then you suddenly realise that the answer has been staring you int he face all along?     Yeah, I just had that feeling..... :frusty:

We wanted to line up for this fight but could not due us 'walling off' the tank with a line of oozes.   Thus we're all randomly spread.

We only have this problem because we have the tank on the RIGHT of our space when we start on the right of our own space.    If tank started on the left we could line up on the right of our own space and then simply shift 2 yards left each time we get an ooze - it also means we move gradually closer to the tank as we get adds.    (or we all start on the left of our area and tanks stay put)

If none of that made sense I'll explain when we get in the instance, but it should make it a darned sight easier.

He basically just had his pet closer than himself but outside of melee range, so that the boss would spam his big cone on the pet, but it obviously doesn't affect pets, so it'd never die..
We should totally get a warlock and go all ranged, so Jim, Guru, and I can skip this boss!
