Please keep an eye on this new member. They do not appear in the 'Stop Forum Spam' database but they've been posting some frankly meaningless posts and have created a dodgy signature that links to a Fifa Coin Trading site.

I've sent the following PM

Hi,

Please don't post links in your posts to commercial sites unless the link is relevant to the conversation. Also please don't post links to any site that offers services that break the terms and conditions of another companies games, products or services. I know EA don't actively enforce their 'don't trade coins' rule but we can't be seen to condone breaking their rules.

I'm reluctant to ban them as they might be a legitimate new forum poster, but I'm suspicious. If you see anything odd or if they post with the link again I think we should warn them of an impending ban and then if they do it again just ban them.

Tbh I'd just ban him, I was going to go that until I saw his posts had been moderated.  I'm just old, grumpy and intolerant though!

I'm not inclined to ban him/her yet. they're not using a known spammers name, IP or email. So far all they have is a dodgy signature. If dumb posts was a reason to ban this forum whould be a ghost town and I'd be the first out the door

As I said, I'm grumpy and tend to enjoy swinging the hammer, so moderation of my hammer by fairer minds is always welcome!    

In the meantime I edited out all of his 'faux signatures' from his posts.   If he wants a signature we can point him at the Supporting Member tab!
