Nexus 7 movie Converter & Other Apps

Guys,

Little Ninj found a Nexus 7 under the tree.

Can you guys recommend software to convert movie files to Nexus 7? Also, what's your top apps?

There may be a better way but what I did was:

Install VLC APP - it's in beta but I've had no problems with it.
Then copy the movies you want to watch to the relevant folder (\Nexus 7\Internal storage\Movies folder).

Seemed to work fine for me and it can run movies in their native format.

*note* VLC do say it's in beta and could harm the nexus but I've not had any problems.
