Subjectively, it seems to me that the BBC use a newsreader like Feedly to monitor what goes on and then if it looks a good story they set someone to write it up.   Try tracking the news items in the Tech section for example and you'll often find a lag between the BBC news and the articles appearing elsewhere a couple of days ago.   Damn shame really. :sad:

Yeah I know it is always in the rear with the gear but it is "mainstream" news site so it might get more interest out there. The whole point of it all really :)
