Downloaded new version today, and was in awe on the intro video. :) The new Merc/AMG looked absolutely fabulous and I couldn't wait
to test it. Selected car and track and set for practice, what a disappointment.
On the load screen, I noticed that the icons on the left hand only activated when the mouse was slightly above them.
Finally discovered that you clicked on the icon above the one you wanted to use. Figures.
Tried to select the apps on the right hand panel and there were no icons there, however I tried an experimental click and it displayed a
load of 'Geek' garbage on the left of the screen and despite trying to remove it by clicking the appropriate area on the 'invisible' apps panel
I only made it worse. Nevertheless I had a swift run in the new beast. Was unable find the invisible settings for PS feedback so could not
adjust steering FB. After  driving two corners the steering  suddenly stiffened up so much I had difficulty in moving it at all.
Tried the new version with different cars on different tracks. Just the same results. I'm fast becoming disillusioned with AS and this release
only compounds my feelings towards this sim. How can they release a version with so many obvious bugs?

EDIT Please ignore 2nd paragraph. Written by a bleedin' idiot.

Only did a quick test but I didn't see anything like that.  Sounds like a screen mode/aspect ratio problem. I havnt seen anyone else report that bug, maybe try to Validate integrity of Steam Cache?  Force feedback was change a bit in this version, supposedly to making it more lively, they recommend turning own any "Effects" you may have on in game (I guess like dampening, kerb, slip effects).

***I Have A Request To anyone who HAS NOT Installed The Latest Update

Could you please go to C:\whereveritsinstalled\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\cfg and make a copy of the \FILTER folder.  They changed these pre-sets in the new version and I prefered the old versions.  Just copy the folder and Zip it up and attach it...or you could post the contents of the .ini into a PM or forum post (they are just text files, the one I am most interested in should be called "default" or some thing similar).  Just don't run Steam YET!!  if you run steam and the Game updates they will be over written.

Thank you!! :D

Never-mind, figured it out :)

I just had a play in the Merc ... It seemed ok to to me no probs with apps apart them being all turned on by default filling my screen. I can still control them on the right side of the screen not invisible or anything weird.

Im running full vanilla could it be a custom app thats needing an update ?

Cant fool you can I Seany :nope: I use AS in windowed mode normally, but this update somehow altered to full screen mode.
Once I configured my old settings everything worked well. :D

Played this for about 7 hours today online, must admit I thouroughly enjoyed it, apart from the fact that cars were wizzing past me even when I did a decent lap. I can't seem to compete very well even when it's all the same cars on track, I must be doing something wrong unless there are some cheater people. I put in some great laps but they just seem to pass me without no bother at all. Would love to know what I'm doing wrong :(
