apparently they do co-exist, although the 1st thing to try with you disc version is to visit this site

and then follow the instructions

 also make sure you have this in your fsx folder

the last links helps stop fsx crashing and is ne of the fixes included in FSX steam

Tah.  Tried it tonight and flew Oslo to Alesund (nice short runway when you're in an A340) and had no crashes.  Thank you! :worship:

Well done TL!. We should try to get in some nice Norwegian Scenery (Xplane is great there btw.) and do some moutain, valley flying together!
