CS:GO Competitive ?

I'm currently DMG, but I usually solo queue, which normally involves getting trolled by Russians so it would be great to start queuing with some of you guys. Steam ID = insignia833

Quick update on how we've been doing. So far we've had an overall excellent experience and this has been shown in our ranks. I've gone from a lowly Silver 4 to a Master Guardian Elite (I've ranked up 9 times since this thread was started). It's been brilliant so far and is looking to get better.

I've ranked up a little from where I started, but am still a lowly Silver Elite Master.  I think I could improve a little from there (but not as high as you Dex) but I would need to be in a team to do so.  The teams I have met in competitive pugs that have wiped the floor with us have very clearly had voice comm coordinated teamwork and planning and were not your regular competitive pugs!

All the pugs I joined were just abusive, so I don't bother anymore.

I see they have altered the match making rank system. You now have to have a rank of 3 before you can take part in match making.
My son is a Gold Nova Master and cant play now until he gets a rank of 3
This is what happens when you dont play for a fortnight.......... Away on Holiday
He has been playing on the same account for 11 years.

Decided to give this another go, I don't know what rank they are, but I kicked their butts. They were all calling me a smurf? But I'm not too sure what that is (Apart from the blue things with white hats).

I'm now a 21 hour ban whilst they find me a skill group on the matchmaking servers?

I think 2 warcraft player named them selfs smurf with New accounts so they can play with there lower ranked friends

Oh and after 10 games u will get ur rank but till than u can paly only 2 per day

A Smurf........Its someone with an high rank playing on a new account so they can kick ass rather than play at there own standard. They may also be trying to boost a friend up the ranks by playing on their account.

I also got accused of this when first playing, as Franko says you will only be allowed to play 2 matches per day until you have won 10. They will then issue you with a matchmaker rank.

They've tried to make it harder to smurf now by putting the rank 3 in place so they would have to play the game in other modes before they can play competitive.
