CS:GO Competitive ?

Hi guys it's me (Dex or you may know me as Megamaker depending on when I met you).
Franko, King and I were all playing CS:GO competitive about 10 minutes prior to this post and Franko and I came up with the idea of having a team. Most of the time I find myself disliking competitive due to the random players griefing, going afk and just being irritating, however on this occasion I thoroughly enjoyed myself due to the fact that 60% of the team worked well together and it allowed for a tactical and good natured game. Myself and Franko came up with the idea of forming a team of sorts, that (possibly on allotted nights etc.) agree to join a lobby and just do a competitive match together. Myself and Franko have both agreed we would do this if the option was given to us, we've not asked anyone else yet but would this be the sort of thing anyone might be interested in? Myself and Franko are both silvers so anyone that is above Gold Nova 3 would be I am sad to say, out of the question, unless multiple teams were formed.That said, as we play I would expect all our ranks would increase as a side-effect due to the sheer communication advantage we would have over other teams, so if you are a high rank now, later on you might find yourself eligible.
If you are interested and would want to play a game or two with myself and some others please reply to this thread with your steam name and cs:go rank (by the way we don't mind if you are unranked - just say so in the reply), just so that we can get an idea of the interest in this. Also, we don't mind how mind bogglingly awful you are, we're silvers so you should be about the same skill level as us.

In fact, a few weeks ago I suggested this to Gunda and asked him if he'd like to take the lead on it. Unfortunately he can't due to RL commitments,
but I still would like to see dMw competing in CS:GO.

We've got some amazing players joined recently and a fair few regulars who just need to be encouraged to register here. Please point them in this direction.

It'll need a fair few interested members to form a player base, at least 8 I'd say, due to people not being able to play on particular nights, and to have a sub waiting to step in in case of PC malfunction/internet woes etc.(This happens!)

C'mon people, put your names down!

Turn off your hacks first, then join us Seriously though, for some reason I think Master Guardian Elite matches might be quite hard for a silver 4, unless of course you wanted to come along anywayz for a de-ranking spree. I dunno about the others but I'd play with you anyway, if only to see what Master Guardian Elite is like, good to know you're interested though.

I'm in, I agree with Franko, weekend days are a good shout but quiet nights can also work.

Just played 2 games with Gunda + three other people of similar ranks to me and we all got annihilated over and over and over and over... (10 minutes later) ... and over and over again. I'm sad to say that I won't be playing any more matches with Master Guardian Elites any time soon but if you get a smurf account or de-rank (a lot) then I'll certainly consider it We did ok in silver matches though, I think we just need to get our heads round the fact that while on boomer, people of Gunda's skill level and similar are playing with their hands tied behind their backs.

We can learn a lot from gud players, but it was maybe not the best way to go, I 'll sure watching some of Gundas matches in the future:)

to be fair guys those games were harder than some i have played in.  I think the skill levels you guys showed was way beyond the silver ranks you have so i am sure you will rank up fast.
The higher rank games seem to come down to alot of stratagies and tactical play rather than just being able to shoot. i.e. knowing when to fall back to wait for support (ie site retakes) and when to rush, who has the flashes and playing smart etc.

ECO rounds being a good thing, knowing when to buy when not to, and what to buy 2nd round if we win the pistol.. ie not M4's and AK's better to buy smg's for the +money and the fact the other team will probably not have armor.

I watch alot of TheWarOwl (he does some good commentary's on pro games), Hatton, Natosaphix, ImAnderZel and MrTweeday

I am definitely not MGE level i have that rank due to winning 10+ games in a row when i had zero rank, but most of those wins i felt like i was carried by others.  my first rank was MGE, then i ranked up to DMG for like 3 weeks i think, then straight back down.

I do watch a lot of pro games lately just to see some sort of strategies, hopefully will help:), hopefully will rank up soon, coz I am still in silver 2 and won almost 60 games:) I am a shame
