Trying it now. 25GB 4 MBps or 32Mbps, 1 hour 40 mins. Their CDN is going to have to be a beast to service a million citizens+ and this is working better than previous I would say! time to enjoy reading the update notes!

I have 120Mbps download top speed on my cable here in NL. I get 9.9MBytes per sec on a steam download, 4.3MBps is the highest I've ever got with SC. Is it hosted on AWS now? I think they have opimised the launcher and content delivery code, as it doesn't seem to be forever checking the file integrity, and it managed to resume with a brief check of the already downloaded files! All part of gradual improvements in the delivery process I suppose, 2 mins to go

I've had about and hour on Arena Commander now and I can safely say I suck at it. I got a couple of kills in Battle Royale but I was toast most of the time, some guys ramming a lot others just too good. The rate of death is unbelievable and I feel I can't control anything. I think we need to get our ideas and advice together for actually flying in the game because I for one could do with help.

If I have to take out my real ship in these conditions I'll be pooing myself every second.

It's probably not very immersive but if you want to kill stuff in AC mouse and keyboard seem the best approach.

There's team co-op, team vs team and capture the beacon matches in AC now. We should try the co-op games.

Albert, try some Vanduul AI sessions, prior to going PvP.

Keep note of the try number, and how many waves you survived.

Tip: get some distance from opponents, turn around, line them up, and blow them up. If dog fighting, cut your engines and swivel on yourself and continue shooting for a couple of seconds once you make the strafing run. Swivel back, and go back to engine power. Save missiles for the named AI.

If an enemy is directly in your face(up close and personal), unload physical ammo in them. It shreds ships. The plan is to blow rammers up before they hit you, and the tip above works well with those too.

I was seeing 8MB/s, plus or minus 1 MB for the whole download. Time equivalent was one hour for whole reinstallation. Had you adjusted your region in the launcher settings? Mine defaulted to Americas but I changed to Europe so that might account for the difference.
