So after a fun night with Arithon, Albert and Ranualf I amassed a further 1M for the Imperial cause and had a thoroughly good evening!
The Wings function seems very well, done, but I appear to lack the keys on my HOTAS for it.

Still, looking forward to some good teamplay here in larger engagements!

Late last night me and Twisted found a Anaconda with a pain skin!

YES I KNOW, epic news!

So you are wondering what paint skin it was yees?

Well.... it was a pirate skin, like the python, but the square block belly of the Anaconda was red too

It looked pretty.... until we blasted into the void...

No, i didn't get a screen shot, neither did twisted as we both asked each other "did you take a screen shot?".. no ... FEKK!

There was also some red and white flame cobras too.

IN DEFENCE OF VOLUNGU


Description:
Imperial forces have launched an attack on Volungu. In response the Crimson Fortune Company have called for federal pilots to gather at Jemison Refinery to help drive the invaders back!

The fighting is sure to be fierce, but the Volungu Public Company is willing to pay for any assistance they can get! Allies, bounty hunters and mercenaries of all stripes are invited to sign up to protect Volungu from the invaders.

Bonus payments will only be made available if the Volungu Public Company proves to be successful at fending off their attackers, so independent contractors are advised to bring along as many friends as possible in order to ensure the Volungu Public Company survives long enough to see payment come due.

Bring a well armored ship to this one - I fitted military spec plates just before entering and damn glad I did because the enemy wings gang up on you.
With the wing I was in, I was the weakest target (I think), so they shot me up loads to 64% hull before I bailed!
Sadly the repair costs outweighed the monies earned.

Yes this is a full on military spec zone, even the small vipers and cobras are armoured to the hilt and take a lot of shooting to "deck them".

Twisted was advised to mil spec up, and yep they kicked his ass still but it kept his viper in the fight for longer.
Also he was joint weakest link (though technically 1st), as Tuna was in our wing with his new shiney cobra, WELCOME TO THE PARTY PAL!

There was also the "BIG SURPRISE" as we jumped into the high combat zone, the capital ship groaned and moaned into the zone... Having never seen this before, and being pretty close to its jump point all i saw was a dark cloud of imminent death, with the load "moaning sound" as it exited super cruise... I quickly reversed away (didn't want to miss seeing just what it was) and watched in fascination as it utterly leveled the playing field...damn camper it is, kill stealing everything!

Words of advice, do not go into the high zone alone... 3 of our wing jumped in, and there was 2 packs of enemy waiting for us, aka 10 ships!.. no friendlies!

After a few mins of getting our assed chewed big time, we bailed out into the low zone...due to said camper...
There`s a MASSIVE amount of combat, even in the low combat zone.

Both zones are target rich environments with only a few Anacondas in the high zone (camper bait), low zone is full of loads of smaller ships-  vipers, cobras, asps and the odd drop ship and clipper. I dont think i saw a Anaconda in the low end, or if there was it was swarmed upon by the allies.

There is also a lot of the twin engined little empire defence ships, and F63 condors, they are a real pain in the asp... as the small def ships are like needles, and have a very small profile on the radar, WATCH YOUR 6!

The enemy are also fond of missiles, and every asp has them and uses them freely..

So think carefully of your going to bring the big toys out to the party!

Its broke, the 2 opposing factions are flying past each other waving to each other....

The event has 272 people handing in... zero bounties...

We jumped into the war zone as a wing and shot several of the opposition, and got zero bounties awarded...

PROTECTING AGAINST PATREUS


Description:
Senator Patreus has declared war on the system, for failure to pay credits we didn't even owe.

We knew this day would come, and we have a plan! Even now civilians are being moved to secure locations, and ships are being scrambled to intercept enemy fighters before they get any deeper into our airspace.

Trouble is, it's not enough. If we don't manage to slow Patreus's attack dogs down, we'll all be dead or sold off as slaves within a week.

Tour of Frontier Systems Set to Begin Shortly
Despite a rather sceptical response to the President’s planned tour of Federal frontier systems, particularly the bizarre choice to visit 78 Ursae Majoris (a system which overwhelmingly voted to leave the Federation nearly two months ago), the President’s office has announced that the series of visits with local leaders will go ahead as planned.
