Ultron was great, star of the film.

As for the rest of it, it was good, but it wasn't great. Too much in the film was just shoved in to pave the way for later things... Entertaining, but nothing special. Guardians made me walk out of the cinema literally grinning, desperate to see it again. Ultron (at least so far) has left me with nothing at all!

Spoilers ahead..
I wonder if I am just tiring of the whole formula the marvel films follow. I have been a fan since the first ones, and although I still really enjoyed Ultron, I felt 3 steps ahead of the movie at every turn. It was almost 'nice' to see them kill off Quicksilver (not that they really did anything to make me care about him as a character - so his death still had zero impact on me) just to see them break out of their own mould a little. I guess I hope the upcoming civil war film will maybe cause a bit more drama, as I worry if they carry on like this it will all grow pretty stale pretty soon...
I saw it last night, it was fun, I enjoyed it. I did feel it ran about 20-25 minutes too long. There were bits they could have trimmed...
like when Stark goes to the Nexus internet hub in Oslo, which could have been done quicker by having Jarvis just showing up rather than dragging it out. Same for the bit when they go to Seoul? Hong Kong? to recover the cradle and Vision, they could have skimmed the whole battle and it wouldn't have suffered. Still, I enjoyed it overall. It'll be interesting to see the DVD release, since there was over an hours footage cut, to see if any of it adds to the plot. It hopefully might explain Thor's vision quest thing. Apparently thats why Selvig briefly appears, because he could find the location of the mystery swimming pool of future visions from myths and legends. But in the films its just "I need your help... Ah, here we are, hold this wooden box that doesn't seem to serve any purpose."
Chaosphere
Yeah, the whole bit with Thor's vision was a complete waste of time. Just there to set up Dark World. Felt like there was a lot of that. A lot of discussion relating to the infinity gauntlet too, and then the post-credits sequence of Thanos also.. all set ups! Shame to have so much time devoted to what WILL happen in 1-3 years in a movie I am watching today! I also felt the drama between cap and stark was sort of weird with how it magically resolved at the end... like, why NOT set up cold war? They are setting up everything else...literally everything... so why make the 2 end with a pat on the back? Weird.
Oh and I agree with the DVD comment!!
