Competition Idea

Hello. A video made in the GTA online director mode (and posted in the forum) gave me an idea. If I were to front the cash for it, how would the idea of some kind of competition float, do you think?

I'm certainly not limiting this to GTA, that would be unfair. But in general, a competition to produce a video within the community games and have it judged by the community?

Hi Galatoni,

There are quite a few Shadow Play users, YouTubers and Twitchers in our community.

I would think if folks want to participate putting a financial incentive out there to make them wouldn't be necessary. Certainly it hasn't been something that is asked from anyone in dMw thus far as we don't put the individual at the forefront of the community.

Given the amount of people who buy bundles these days, I'm sure you could get donations of unused keys to store for future competitions I be handed out as prizes maybe?

I've just got the humble bundle gift key, which i'll gladly give to one of the more senior admins to distribute - don't want people to think there is foul play. To clarify though, we should perhaps get the feedback of the community in general to ensure fair-play. With the earthquake in Nepal again this morning, i've already donated Â£20 of my own money already, and this is extra so as far as i'm concerned, its all good

We could have a 1-3 prize for our community officially supported games. Either a picture or a video, and give everyone a key. I'd be happy to hold a list of keys and that way I could do a long overdue audit of my own stock.

I think that we have define the rules and what we want as entries. Have let shoved this up to Council for more comments, ideas.

Aye. Its only a pretty throw-away prize, but we should still be pretty clear on the do's and don'ts. What about team entries? We are a community based gaming group afterall. :S :S
