LAN Running Issues

Split them in to 2 threads might make it easier.

LAN

• Racing rig replacement
• Discussion about game console multiplayer on projector
• Implementation of tournament
• backup plan for if we face the same issues
• New games and more game servers.

1. Racing rig replacement.

We have not had the racing rig for 2 LANs due to FatBob equipment failure and he hasnt really got it back to working state.

But we do need a 2nd machine to run Fifa and other bits.

SO I have a spare 680 gtx which can be dontated to the machine.  

I was also going to ask if anyone in the community has a ok machine we could borrow for the it event.


3. Spoke to OB he will be giving it a look over the summer period to see if it is viable.

There is also the social aspect outing thingy etc

1. It's fun, heck I enjoy it more than most I reckon, but in all seriousness is it needed?   We get close to zero support from racers within the community, so I do not see a 'racing rig' as a need.    Re the FIFA argument, bring along a PS4 or an Xbox or a Nintendo64 (or whatever it is played on).
2.  See 1. same argument for FIFA.   Why not ask the hotel if they have a projector?
3. no idea what you are aiming for or what the goal is?
4. not sure we can have one unless we control the internet.
5. new games are not in our control, new game servers we can run subjec to having horsepower and proper DS files from the game dev.

Short & sweet.

Will consider a social outing, but I have nothing planned currently.
