Every single time Flibber died tonite he whinged. It was "No way" and "Thats TANGO". I eventually had enough and put a message on screen saying "Flibber, please accept that sometimes you will die? eh?" However, he had gone by that point :(

IIRC he has been like this before (infact the last time I saw him on the servers which was a while ago).

It really does not set a good example to the newer players and also annoys me to have to listen to it (and lets face it, nobody knows more about dying than me).

Should we send a suitably worded email/PM?

TeaLeaf

I'd suggest dropping him a PM yourself.  It would probably come over a bit heavy handed if it came from me or Oldbloke at this stage.  If you took the tack that some of the players on your team were TCS noobs and were starting to copy his comments.........that way he might take heed.

I'm sure I mentioned, when FBG was on the other team from Smite and myself, that he would be whinging when someone got him with a HS. LOL he is a moaning sod in game isn't he, but the funny thing is, it makes everybody laugh. Even the new guys, please don't take away our entertainment  ;) .  :D

He was especially whiny tonight though. 4 maps in a row he was on my and B's team and he complained everytime he died. Didn't help when 13.Nomad joined and kicked all our asses. Still I think we should slip him a note under the door. TL's suggestion is good and sound. BB are you up for it?

Hi Flibber,

Bit of an uncomfortable topic for me so I’ll cut to the chase. Please take the following in the spirit in which it is offered  :)

I don’t know if you have noticed yourself doing this but recently on the server you have had a tendency to become rather upset when you get shot. We all find it frustrating when we die (and god knows few people die more than me) but I have started to notice a few of the newer guys starting to do the same thing.

I know that it can be difficult to stop doing something if it has become involuntary (and you don’t notice yourself doing it) but if you could try to not do it (or do it in a more jokey manner) I’m sure it would help us all to keep the new guys in line and let them really get into the spirit of TCS. The new guys will all look to people like you, me and the “regulars” for guidance on how to act so we are, unfortunately, up for public scrutiny  8)

You are a good player and I enjoy playing on the servers with you. The comments you have been making are, I believe, not the real you and I’m sure you would not want to be seen setting anything other than a good example to the “new boys”

Anyway, I hope that my email is taken in the spirit it is offered and I look forward to being shot by you on the servers (where I will instantly shout “No way!” of course  ;) )

See you on the servers m8

Nobody has banned me so I guess the email wasn't too harsh :)

I posted too soon :(  This was received tonight from Flibber and I have sent him a suitable reply expressing our wishes that things turn out for the best.

=================================

No problem, ive noticed it myself and have been muting my mike because of it. I've been somewhat distracted for personal reasons and hate the fact that i've been doing it. Its all the stress im sure and hopefully i'll calm down quick sharp. If i do it again just tell me to shut my gob ;-P

Please express my appologies to the other admins and players, i appreciate the email.
