Die and it is game over.   Permanently.   You are locked out of the steam game account and can no longer player it, only view your deceased player's history.

And they expect you to pay for a game you may only get to play for a couple of minutes? Another on my don't buy list methinks.
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.

sounds like a interesting idea, i cant see me lasting more then 5 mins on there but sounds fun if you can play wit friend that would be brilliant and very tactical

With you there Snooks. Nine dollars to play a game once with no revives or reloads. That is probably the most moronic idea for a game ever.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

RogueTaylor

i would be good if you got one life per server and if you died then you had to move to a different server this way you can play multiple time but keeping the concept of you having one life and having to play smart

Perma-death is an idea and a challenge. But to effectively throw  me out if a game permanently? I've bought indie games for a tenner before and had hours and hours of fun out of them. I'd rather spend my money on one of them than something that seems to be a bit of a gimmick. Each to their own though  :-)

I could see the point in this if it were your character that died along with all their XP and upgrades, forcing you back to sq 1 with a new character.

Now that would make sense.

I stick with arma personally, that's hard enough to stay alive in ;) nothing is harder then arma. The one life system is a concept that is hard to do, due to the fact you just brought a game and that's it so many pounds down the drain for possible a few hours of game play if you last that long and don't get killed by more expiranced players. Games with one life are best in games like hunger games where if you die that's it you lost the games but get the chance to try again another game.

Liberator

Nope, from all the comments on their page it also seems like most are not in favour of the idea if perma-death.

But somehow it made it to the top of the Greenlight list.

Hmm.. Wonder if the voting system is being looked at.
