Mea Problems

As we have had a few problems with mea, well Lee tbh the past few raids I thought I post in what ayla typed last night after Portus left the guild just for info:

This I think is a discussion best held on ts cause it might take a while but have to sort of agree, Lee have become a bit of a a** and that is a bit surprising to me since he wasn't one a few years ago. And tbh I got a feeling these 2 might not be the only 2 of the group that is a bit upset with how lee reacts in the raids but I might be wrong.

I don't know what went on, but my asshat radar just registered a target.

Sometimes cutting out rotten flesh quickly saves the rest of the body. In particular, if he's doing inappropriate stuff then you need to face it head on and fast imo. Anything else just infects the rest of the body and doesn't help.

Aye agree with you TL, problem we got is that the person who is doing the shouting etc is the guild master of the guild we currently are raiding with so we need to handle it very delicate otherwise we might lose a fair number from the raid team... But we will hopefully sort it out somehow.

And as a FYI, Ayla have now left with her shaman just checked armory.

If we have already lost a long-term raider because of his behaviour (and particularly if it has had elements of inappropriateness) then you're probably at a point where you need a blunt conversation with him and his officers. Either he changes or you break away and let his members know why.

At the end of the day I don't think you can let some things slide, despite the potentially devastating impact it might have on raiding.

All that is easy for me to say though as I'm not raiding so have nothing invested in the decision. I do not envy you guys.

Likewise, I'm not a raider and it's always your call but if we're loosing long term valued members due to 'inappropriate' behavior, then that is a very serious concern and we should be acting decisively. The concern also is that the larger dMw Community may suffer if we're associated with this kind of person. We're a community that prides itself on providing a safe friendly place for all gamers male and female, and free from the usual crap women often have to endure in the wider gaming community. We should speak to Ayla, find out what happened and if we need to ditch this Guild then so be it. Again not my call to make but I think this does potentially affect us all. Shout if you need any help, backup etc.

On the whole its been working as intended, Without culpa we would be running with pugs (a different minefield of issues) .... From the outside it looks like we lost a valued long term member. The reality is Ayla has been doing her own share of rift making between players which makes any decision not so clear cut.

Having spoken to ayla I didn't come away with a warm feeling about her commitment to us. Possibly an opportunistic excuse to go and raid elsewhere with her friend.

Ill also have a chat with culpa and make sure they understand what is /is not expected from them....Any outburst was not without a small amount of provocation so I am willing to crack on with the understanding that we don't play the finger pointy shouty game

Remind me not to have the night off again:doh:

Indeed it is. I worried it was some kind of sexist/inappropriate comments and that was what had driven her away.
