Lanceor

Hello all! I'm Lanceor, an Elite: Dangerous player from Sydney Australia. I'm old enough to remember the original Elite from 1984; I didn't get to play it myself, but did see my friends play it.

So what brings me here?

A while back, I joined an Australian E:D group who made Zeta Trianguli Australis their "home base". I followed suit and have been operating out of ZTA since then. I have around eight space ships parked there.

On returning to base a few days ago, instead of the usual warm and fuzzy "Greetings respected ally", the station treated me like a stranger, telling me to observe station protocol as if it was my first time there. Gasp! My home station no longer recognises me!

It turns out this new faction called "Dead Men Walking Alliance" had come along, decided they liked the place and took control of it. A bit of Google-fu got me to this website.

Things are a bit quiet with  the old group, so I'm glad that DMW have come along to shake things up a bit. Therefore, Cmdr Lanceor at your service!

welcome to dead men walking CMDR lanceor, its a pleasure to have you join us. its great to get a experienced pilot in this hostile galaxy. i am glad you have not become hostile to our presents but when our lead CMDR arithion  set his mind to something it normally happens with his arsenal that he has haha. it great to you here tho :)

Welcome, Lanceor :byebye:

We chose Zeta Trianguli Australis because everyone was freezing their nuts off in Zeta Trianguli Britalis :)

Hello and welcome.

I have to say that when I first (mis)read your post you were complaining about our lack of friendliness - something which I doubt anyone has ever accused us of. :flirty:

Glad you found us. We're a nice bunch of guys (the majority of whom also remember and played the original elite) and it's great to welcome you.

Enjoy your stay :)

....and some of us don't remember it because we was not born :flirty:

Welcome Lanceor. Our merry band of space captains did the same as you back in the day during Beta, doing trade runs from Guest City.

So when our man CMDR Arithon found out that Frontier were looking to add Alliances into the game, Zeta was the natural choice if we got selected.

Funny thing is that we are all rep neutral lol. Of course there's no concept of joining a minor faction in the game so we're trying now to gain rep with..... Ourselves!

What would be awesome is if some of our Australian cousins could help keep Guest City Independent with dMw strong.

Join us on TS any time and I'm sure the trip from Bligjty to Oz will be far quicker in a Cobra!

Cheers,

Albert

Although I've been playing for a year, I don't consider myself experienced yet.  I'm still learning stuff as I go.

Aye indeed. Don't forget to send us your convicts. :D

Apologies if I gave the wrong initial idea. But what I can confirm is that everyone I've met here has been exceptionally welcoming and friendly. :)

Will do. I'll expand the faction's influence during your off hours.

I've been checking who's online whenever I'm playing, but sadly my timezone (UTC + 11) seems to be working against me. :(
