So i just popped in Crusader, thought i'd try my Cutlass, is it just me or do we have no HUD currently ? I'm so used to my SH with its pretty much fully functioning HUD i felt pretty lost in the Cutlass ... is it just me ? is it an intermittent bug ? or is it that way for everyone ATM ?

That's the way it is for quite a few ships right now. As far as I can tell we have two HUD's as pilots. There's the Ship HUD which displays our speed, firing reticule, leading pip and couple of other bits of info. This has carried over from Arena Commander. There is also the radar that normally sits in the middle of the cockpit display. When landing this can turn into our landing assist as well. This has NOT carried over from Arena Commander.

Then there is the CVI display or combat visor display. This is a display that until now was fed from our ship directly onto the visor of our helmet. This normally shows our own ship on the left with a 3D representation of our shields and also our targets ship on the right with it's shields, damage state EM and IR signature. This seems to have come across in most/some single seater fighters from Arena Commander. However it's not showing up on the multi crew ships like the Cutlass and the Freelancer. We do get the info on the actual cockpit displays and can in some circumstances interact with them. As far as I can work  out each manufacturer has it's own distinct style of HUD so they will not be uniform across all ships. Some displays will be split across different seats on the ships. Right now though the general consensus is that HUDs for many ships are all over the place and far from being in a final state.

I think this is just the very early implementation of multi crew ships. As things move on hopefully we'll see HUD's etc being cleaned up and made usable. I think multi crew ships will always work better with several crew members and HUD's will never look the same across all makes and models.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Yeah it's the "CV1" i'm missing.... it's mainly shields and damage states of both me and my target that i'm so used to using as reference in my SH that i feel a bit lost without ! Like you say though, first incarnation so it's not bad !
