ARMA Run 01/05/16

It was mentioned last night about playing one of the new maps again but we had a few players who have yet to download the mod. I would really like to give it a go next Sunday so if you have not yet downloaded or tested that it works then please can you get it sorted as soon as you can. If you know someone who hasn't yet done this please give them a nudge.

If you have any difficulties then please IM me and we can jump on together and get you up and running.

To recap what you need to be using

Then point to it in the MODS tab of the Arma 3 launcher. It should then show CUP Terrains - Full 1.0.1 in the list of enabled mods.

You will also see these in the list of mods in your launcher

CUP Vehicles
CUP Weapons

We are currently not going to use these so do not enable them in the launcher. Having said that, we may well get some missions created in the future using them.

Turns out these are not included, i have them after playing Exile. However, we may still use them in the future if we all get them.

Twobad is there a list of the all the mods you need now ?

You don't "need" any mods to play on the server. However, to improve the game play experience there are a number of mods you can run if you want to. For a list of these please see Current Addons on the server. The NoStamina mod is the main one, the current vanilla game is fine for the realism players who have 20 or 30 players but for us is a little too harsh.

If everyone has CUP Terrains Complete v1.0.1 on Sunday (and there should be no reason why the regulars don't) then we'll play a new map. We played it a few weeks ago and it worked very well with ppl have better frame rates than on the vanilla maps.

So, no one has contacted me meaning we're all sorted...... right ?

I have rebuilt the mission we did a few weeks ago and while the general idea is the same it will be very different and hopefully really good fun.

Hi TwoBad. Have to pick my daughter up from work at 8. Is it possible to join late or will that mess things up? I don't want to inconvenience anyone as sometimes she overruns so I might not make it at all. Just wondering if it's ok to drop on at 8:20 ish if she's on time.

I can't speak for toobad but as a regular it is fine if you turn up a bit late we might have started mission but please feel free to join in when ever you can, it be great to have a new person there. As he has posted tho you will need the new map packs which we are now using for this Sunday so I hope that's okay

if everything is okay I look forward to seeing you on the battle field and healing you when we out there

I'd prefer everyone is on and ready for the kick off but i think in your case it's unavoidable so don't worry about it and jump on when you can.

No worries Grunge. It's the LAN this weekend so we'll probably be down a few players but i'll be on, as will Cheesy. So we'll run a game for less players or something like that.
