Hello!

Does this group of people have an appetite for some competitive csgo? I'm talking getting registered on something like Enemy Down and getting involved.

I've not done this since my cs v1 days - I'd love to give it a go for a season or two at least :)

Enemy Down is no longer a thing. I think ESEA is the place to go now.

Dexterous

That certainly sounds interesting, depending on whether I could fit it into my schedule I would be up for that. I would need to wait until August for that though.

Ok - thanks for the pointer Jewelz. I have a FaceIT account already and I'm looking around for other avenues. Do you fancy it?

Dex - that's cool. I doubt it'll be something we rush into :)

Anyone else with some interest?

Jewelz^

Do you even have to ask? You know I'm game. I'll ping some people on steam, so who I can find.

Definitely interested, cut my teeth playing ED & GBGL(?) leagues years ago when I was any good.

I have a FaceIT account I think but haven't ever played on it.

Have heard good things about ESEA but apparently it is a skill level step up from FaceIT. Never tried so no idea of level required.

Dexterous

I'd recommend starting with some faceit tournaments, we'd be completely dominated in ESEA so I think starting with faceit isn't a terrible plan.

Yeah faceit sounds best to start with. Just need to see who's interested then we can organise teams etc.

It's great that some of us want to get involved in competitive play.

If there's anything we admins can do to help you, just shout.

The only thing we ask, is that if you play with the dMw tag, you remember that you are being ambassadors for the community and behave as such.

Ok - Groovy!

How do we feel about having structured sessions where we go bash some people on faceit? I'm keen to learn some team strats with focus on smokes & flashes and timing plays. I'd like to be part of a team, rather than play with 4 other individuals!

Bellowhead

I'm down for this but can probably only commit to say, twice a week. How intense are you planning on getting into this?

Also on the ESEA/FaceIt discussion, pretty sure ESEA is paid membership. I'd rather give it a go on something free like FaceIt, at least to start.

Myopic Sniper

I suppose this depends how keen the other guys are. My csgo nights are Monday and Tuesday nights. I have a band practice on Wednesdays, Frisbee practices on thursdays and on Fridays I get crunk with my homies.

Faceit Fo Sho. I'm not up for paying to play, unless we get REALLY good.
