I reckon the fort is as about 'Horde Proof' as we're going to get. Elevated firing platforms on all side with concrete reinforced walls and more spikes than at a punk festival.

And, if all else fails, the 3 x reinforced deep concrete panic room is an option followed by the 2km underground tunnel to the small underground nuclear bunker.

Due respect to my building partners Sulks, OB and Armitage.

7th day meet up to test it?

I think you need more spikes!

Really Nice job.  :D

My place survived it's first full scale horde attack since the rebuild but I did need help from DuVel to clean out my pit the next day

Looks good. I'm keen to see how it will hold out against the new elite zombie burrower's that are coming with the next patch?

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Tip: that ditch just in front of your gates is a nono.  Anything that survives that fall will attack the soil infront of it for a couple of moments.  You have enough, and the wall on top will collapse.

What you want to do is a 6-9 tile wide ditch, with a dead drop to the bedrock.  Kind of rhymes, but anyway.  Anything that survives the dead drop (highly unlikely) should be tackled by the permanent spikes you will have down there.  You will need to go loot/destroy corpse gunk every now and then.  Entry over the ditch should be permanent (cement block) with 3 tiles missing in the middle, so anyone going in needs to have 3x wooden frames, so you put the 3 frames down to complete the bridge, and them pick them back up.

Obviously, you need to dig a shaft to the bedrock in the middle of the compound, with 4 tunnels (N/S/E/W) leading to said ditch for mentioned maintenance.  You can save time when going down by placing some cobwebs near the end which will enable you to jump down.  Going upwards, you can make a water elevator (unless they fixed that), which also makes it impossible for the zombies to climb up from your service shaft.  (No ladders/stairs)

There are many ways that water is useful.

I'm not sure but I think that water trick doesn't work anymore, the water replicates and fills gaps once there is 1 block free... I *think*.
