Following an incident on the ARK Servers last week, Grimnar (Ice Hawk) has been banned from the dMw forum and all game servers.

Last week it was noticed that he had accessed the admin cheat menu to gift himself some materials for use in game thereby blatantly and knowingly breaking the cardinal rule of our Gaming Community.

We have deliberated about this at great length but feel we’re left with very little choice but to abide by our MEMBER STANDARDS which  clearly state that “Members caught cheating will be banned for life from our forum and servers.”

We are so disappointed this has happened â€" doubly so with it being such a respected and long-standing member, former game leader and someone who's been helpful in the past. However, to not adhere to our own standards is something we simply cannot or will not contemplate.

I know this will come as a shock to many of you and you’ll be as surprised and disappointed as we are but we feel this is the only recourse available to maintain the integrity we’ve built up over the last 20 years. We have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on cheating in any way or form.

This ban comes into effect immediately and we have informed Grimnar by email. We have also removed his access to the Grimnar forum account.

We very much regret having to take such action, but hope that the importance of keeping our gaming environment honest is apparent and of benefit to all members.
