That's fair enough, but if they had released a remastered version on its own I bet they would sell more copies of it than the new release.

It begs the question why have they remastered it? Because it's a cracking game and they have done it to pull people in to buying the new title.

I wouldn't have batted an eyelid on buying the new COD but it got my attention because of the remastered COD4

If they sold the remaster at a reduced price (Â£15-20), I'd probably pick it up - if a bunch of other dMw were keen. Even then I don't see it lasting beyond a few weeks, which that sort of cash would be alright for. But I know I won't touch the new rubbish* so that Â£40 tag is just too high.

*don't really know if the new CoD games are rubbish, but the multilayer turned completely ridiculous with nukes and all that nonsense, and the single player just tries to recapture the magic of that one chap with the moustache over and over. Repetitive.

Question: will more dMw members have cod4 already than dMw members who buy the new one? If we're keen on that type of game then why not run a season of whichever is most popular. I recall actually being able to get a few kills at cod4. No complaints here.

Rogue, did you play cod4 originally?

Yeah I did whenit first came out, I played it on Xbox 360 as I was a while ago when I just started gaming. It was one of my favourite games to play, I didn't do to much online as I was new to it and didn't like the hostility of online gaming but played a good few to get me to max level

Well the game in dMw was super popular for a good few years until CSGO came into the pitcure. The server was popular and gameplay fun. Thing is the original ran on almost any rig. If the new versio has beefed up spec requirements that their latest installment will need then it could reduce interest.

Yeah I guess that is a possibility that the upgraded graphics could be so good that it might not run of some people's PC's. I only got to play cod 4 on PC when me and a few friends went to laser quest for the first time ... we didn't play the last game because we were having to much fun on cod 4. It's only 8 pounds for it and that ain't bad considering how these games are always expensive. Would love to play this with you all tho in what ever one you decide to old or new

yee har found my COD 4 case, got the cd...no booklet for cd key..booo cant believe they still want Â£20 for it on steam

I have a backup of my player profile, lvl 40 (I think was the limit). And also I wouldn't be surpirsed if you highly professional and upstanding sysadmins have left the server in tact but disabled(?)

I would join for some cod4 fun, didnt spend enough time ingame, bought it when the hype was over but our own ded server with fellow inmates would be great fun. The old COD4 of course.

meh i got the original from years back, wont go out and buy it again even if specs are upgraded i dont really wanna pay close to Â£50 to re-buy it,,, if they sold it on its own and slightly cheaper definitely but, infinite warfare looks like it sucks b**ls too much
