New Hero - Sombra - and Halloween

Sombra is the worst kept Overwatch secret out there. A pic seems to have surfaced now.

Looks like she will be released soon, maybe along with the Halloween loot boxes that seem to be coming our way.

Personally I thought the Summer Games boxes were mostly naf - because I am a miserable so and so who doesn't really get into the wholy Olympic thing... but these Halloween ones are much more appealing (I will refer you back to the 'miserable so and so' comment).

No word on when exactly the boxes pop yet, but they FINISH 1/11, so fingers crossed they will land any day now.

I don't mind them adding skins, cosmetic changes are fine and if people buy loot boxes and that helps keep this game great then I'm all for it.

Adding new characters to spice things up is good too, but blizzard seem to make changes in the PTR but take ages to implement them into game.

I love the variety it brings into the game,  no matter if I like them or not. But there are some skins I dislike a lot and hate to see an enemy wearing them. Makes me more focused on killing them
Halloween event looks great, cant wait and Sombra looks smooth as well.

I can blow pesteh up with pumpkins just as well as bombs any day of the week.

Agree with the more variety - can't hurt, and they aren't charging for it (as in, it is not DLC - I am aware you CAN buy these boxes, but you don't have to).

So they're going down the DOTA 2 route then, new characters for free and paid-for cosmetic items. Smart play, it's worked for Valve.

Sooner or later they'll run into problems balancing so many different abilities, which will be interesting....

Very good point Tut. I'd like to see only a handful more characters, and loads of more maps and modes, personally. Maybe that could avoid that problem.

Very good point Tut. I'd like to see only a handful more characters, and loads of more maps and modes, personally. Maybe that could avoid that problem.

I think it would benefit the game not to throw too many characters in it, as a lot of people are having trouble playing the ones that are already in it. I mean there's loads to choose from and with 1-2 more coming up, that'll be more than enough. I'd prefer more maps for variety instead. Some maps are more open, which suit some chars better and some maps are more closed for the other chars - this is what gives the variety. Player and weapon skins would be awesome if they added more though...
