Hello dmw'rs I need a new router I'm using the box standard sky router with bandwidth control is absolutely awful, I need something with a bit more power and evenly split the connection,  as still with the family I have at least 13 witless connections connected to the wireless box....

So, what's your budget and what sort of broadband connection have you got?

Do you need any fancy networking stuff, or just stable wifi/broadband speed?

If you want stable wireless, I very much recommend a UniFi UAC-AP-Pro.
I've been using one for months and the thing is rock solid. You even get a nice enterprisey web GUI to admin it, with more bells and whistles than you need.

Please note, it's not a router, just an access point. So you plug it into your existing router if it allows.

They ain't cheap and they're not particularly aesthetically designed, but I would look at the Draytek range. Very solid units, designed for SOHO or SMBs.

I'd be looking at http://www.misco.co.uk/product/195283/DrayTek-Vigor-2860-VDSL-ADSL-Wireless-Router this one personally.
