Does anyone have any actually information on the Terrapin.

I keep looking at it on sale at the moment, and really fancy it as an alternative to my Freelancer DUR, but I'm curious to know if it will have any cargo capacity etc... but I cannot find any details on it anywhere.

As always any insight would be most welcome.

Thanks for the links.

I think I'll stick with my DUR for the time being and maybe use the £50 I save to get something else during the "sale".

Obsydian

For £50, you could always get an 85X - 2 x size 1 ixed and 1 x size 2 turret; 2-seater; Quantum Drive.

Nice little runabout (and fits inside an 890 Jump) :)

Slightly of topic... I see that the majority of Constellation series come with a P52 or P72 Snub fighter for close support, so I was wondering were the snub fights are stored, ie. do the Constellations have small interior hangers or are the snub fighters "mounted" external, and would they take a 85X Snub Fighter instead?

Any thoughts?

(Just thinking ahead if I do get the 85X, I'm tempted to upgrade it to a 325A fighter, carrying over the LTI)

Obsydian

Yes, the Constellations have an external mount (slung under the hull between the two rear engines).  They are designed specifically for the P52 and P72, so won't take an 85X.

I have a Constellation Rear Admiral Package with a load of bling that I melted, it has 6 month insurance which is why I melted it but it does have all the original alpha backer goodies for the hangar like the buggy and the decorations. If anyone is interested I can check if I can unmelt it and gift it.

Proud owner of a Connie Phoenix here. They're a lovely looking ship - the entire series.

I'm quite looking forward to the Carrack and the Terrapin for the same reason. Exploration. I'll be quite excited to see how that feature pans out.

I do love the idea of the Constellation series, especially the Aquila (please don't me started about the Carrack or the Endeavor), but in reality I know my limits so the Freelancer DUR will do me for the time being.

I love the idea of space exploration, to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where... well you know, you've probably heard it before.  Still I think exploration might be a time consuming business and may prove difficult with a large crew.

Besides when one discovery a new unexplored planet who will be the first make that giant leap for man kind.

Galatoni

I wouldn't worry about your "limits". There are plenty of people who will be willing to let you Captain/crew their Carracks and the like. I'm more than willing to anyway. Ha!

I just find it refreshing to see that some of us have limits.

There will be a lot of empty crew seats in our fleet for you to fill :D
