LAN XXXI - Booking Thread

Booking for LAN XXXI is now open!

4th - 7th May 2017

Head over HERE to see the planned festivities. There are a few surprises and new shiny things at this one - essentially you lot are the first round of guinea pigs :norty:

We hope to make it a great weekend for all. Things we like will come back, things we don't will be swept under the rug like so many crumbs. Kick off is Thursday afternoon, but don't fret if you can't make it til later. The LAN room will not be ready for gaming until late Thursday evening.

The Oliver Cromwell Hotel offers:
The Noble Suite - an air conditioned conference room
24/7 access to the suite
dMw control of entry to the suite
Late night bar
Gymnasium
Large indoor swimming pool
Eight-person Jacuzzi
Sauna and Steam room



dMw Costs:

LAN ATTENDEES
Supporting Member:- £10 (this has not changed)
Non-Supporting Member:- £25 (this includes an automatic upgrade to Supporting Member status for one year)

SOCIAL ATTENDEES
Supporting Member:- £0 (this has not changed)
Non-Supporting Member:- £12 (this includes an automatic upgrade to Supporting Member status for one year)

Hotel Costs:
Bed & Breakfast:

• Double occupancy £33 per person per night - that means sharing a room with your mate or 'special friend' - let the hotel know if you're looking for a twin (2 single beds) or a double.
  
• Single occupancy £50 per room per night - double or single bed depending on availability.

If you book a Twin Room and want to share the costs of the room but DON'T already have a roomie, then when you post in this thread to confirm your attendance then also make a note of the fact you have a twin room booked and are looking for someone to share with.

As before, the reduced accommodation and function room rates have been negotiated on the basis that the majority of the attendees will partake of the excellent cuisine offered by either the hotel restaurant's Fixed price, A La Carte or Bar menus.

Put your name down when you have confirmed you have booked including when you are arriving

Remember to say it's for the dMw LAN (to get the subsidised rate) and also give your real name and gaming name.

Travel:- we will do our best to arrange pick up and drop off from the major London airports. If you find yourself stuck or simply want to share a lift, post in the travel plans thread.

Gear:- there will be a packing thread posted soon. The basics are some sort of PC and monitor, with peripherals including headphones - speakers are a no no. If you're desperate to game but can't get a PC to the LAN, ask around, we have in the past been able to source PCs from generous members of the community willing to lend - in exchange for a beer or 3 of course :norty:

ANNNNNNNDDDD after one day my work has decided that it's not a good idea for me to get time of work for that weekend. so it looks like I may not be able to go. I'm trying to haggle it but it's not looking good
