voting on server

how about fix the voting on the server...or remove it
everytime we vote for some map..it gets changed to something else.
i mean whats the point of voting.
there are many fun and exotic maps in the pool..but everytime we vote for some map it gets changed
one can get abit tired of playing cache ,mirage and dust2

There was a lot of moaning in teamspeak and in game when de_contra came on so I swapped it for cache.

I agree that the standard maps can get a bit samey, but custom maps usually empty the server.

So I am between a rock and a hard place sometimes.

I will bear your comments in mind and maybe not be so quick to swap out.

how many were in teamspeak?
when i was on the server 6 people voted for a specific map.
why dont the people in teamspeak coordinate their votes then, then they should be able to make majority on any voting?
 i like the dmw server and the people there.
but the voting thing annoys me.
make a pool of maps people would like to play.
or just rotate the maps you know they wont disaggree with

I think this has to do with more and more dMw members playing competitive. I aswell go on Boomer to warm-up a couple of rounds. That's why they want to play on more common maps.
I do like it sometimes to play unknown maps or lesser played maps. But when on Boomer the last weeks it's more as a warm-up!

I feel your frustration, but I think the admins are doing a good job to keep as many people happy. As always, you can't do good for everyone.
I also feel there's no need to feel annoyed by the whole thing. It's all good fun and it's hard enough to keep a bunch of wacky gits in line on the server.
And I'm sure if you would have asked Blunt to get contra or whatever map afterwards he would have done it!
