Slight PC/monitor problem

Question, does any of you know how Open GL works? I was trying to install the draft-program from work on my PC and according to my new colleguea it was due to Open GL that I couldn't install it.
Any way around it?

BTW, my PC got upgraded with some extra memory (Crucial 8Gb DDR3 1600) and a Gigabyte GTX1060 6Gb Windforce OC videokaart.

Sounds a bit of an odd reason to suspect - did they back it up with some evidence or a workaround? I could imagine a program not installing because OpenGL was missing or was the wrong version or not enough hardware support or was failing to install, but essentially it is/was the main alternative DirectX...
