Thanks for the comments guys,
I think I will do a flight with the Just Flight Freemium 757 just to get going again.
I remember that was working all the time. Even simpler, but working.
I might even get the DHL livery for it...

Maybe this weekend....

But now, home to my new and shiny Carenado PA-31T Cheyenne!

I found the bug in the QW 757. Windows 10 is missing a font that thr FMC needs, So the FMC worked but did not display everything,,
On my way now...

TeaLeaf

Awesome, l look forward to seeing some pictures!    Smooth flight and fingers crossed for no wind shear!

Sorry, Not many pictures this time. I completely forgot. I have one when parked in China, but that is all. :-(

I had to cut short the first leg due to high winds. I had 120 knot head wind the first part of the trip. So I ended up in Darwin the first "night".
On the next leg from Darwin to Shanghai I had a good tailwind so I could do it in one go.

I still have much to learn, but after the FMC started to work correctly, I'm not that worried. I will learn something new every time.
Thats my "mission" with this project.

TeaLeaf

Glad you made it!  120 knot headwind isn't funny, that's a big one.   I do like the official F1 logo on the side of the 757, very appropriate!

I just realized that the Bahrain session is at Easter. I can't do my flight until Saturday the 15'th as I am away that week.
I will just have to fly inn the last batch of spare parts.....

No problem, 'last minute' is usually the way the spares arrive this early in the season!

I'll try to post up the route and flightplan links a bit later this week.   Was it helpful having the QW757 flightplan file, or was it not needed?  I'm happy to keep doing them if it helps, but it's quicker not to do them if they are not needed.  Let me know please.

I didn't get a chance to use them because it looked as it didn't work. I tried, but without the fonts nothing showed on the FMC. If you do the next one,  I can do a proper test to see if it will work on the FMC. The real problem is most likely the reduced range on the 757. So even if it works I will have to change the flights anyway.

I'll do what I did last time and do you a shorter (or two-hop) route that should be within the 757 range.

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

Well, I've left Shanghai on a cloudy & misty day, but the cloud base is quite low (according to ActiveSky2016) and we have climbed through it quickly and are now heading towards our final cruising height of 38,000ft.

I've tried some cfg tweaks this time to see if my VAS usage improves, we'll wait and see!   Pictures will follow.

Edit:  violent turbulence at 32,000ft and about to shake the wings off it seems, all into a 120 knot head wind! :roflmao:

Lining up at ZSPD Pudong (China) to take F1 cargo to OBBI.

Positive rate, Gear up!

Departing ZSPD and over Shanghai

Cruising at FL380 en route from ZSPD to OBBI

Perhaps it's 'SPRING'?  WTH?   Shortly after this screenshot I had a VAS crash (unsurprisingly).   Thank goodness for FSUIPC which enabled me to reload the flight from that point!

Downwind leg at OBBI

Final approach for 12L

It's a busy day at OBBI

Parked up at the stand with ground services in attendance.   Another flight over and another great Grand Prix to look forward to this weekend.

I did my flight today. But I had way too short range. Had to add abt 30% to the wing tanks to make it. The headwind where around 30 to 60 knots.

Picture tomorrow. How do you post yours? They look better than mine on the forum.
