So there is a community event this weekend where the writer, Drew Wager will try and finalise the ending of the second in his Elite Dangerous saga of books with help from the game community. Reddit post tells all.

I will jump out there in a DiamondbackX to see what's goin on. [emoji6]

This might be setup to fail epic like. Depending on how many people turn up and how well the instancing handles it. Communicate with other players before assuming you will have any support should you decide to go to this one.

So I was reading in more detail the plan for this event.

The characters they have injected into the game at a starting point 800LY from Sol will be trying to get to certain stations in the bubble.

Our fleet can help them by patrolling Zeta and the surrounding systems and engaging in combat if necessary to assist.

This is in open play so expect to need the insurance for your ship and if you intend trying to participate, have a wing mate along with you.

Who knows, the characters may come into our area.
