samba server is hiding from my laptop

So I am confused...
I have some samba shares on a home server (smb1 is disabled)

Not very long ago (last week maybe? Not sure) my laptop was happily connecting to these shares, but as of yesterday I became aware that it is not able to connect. My other devices can still connect just fine (win 8.1 laptop, smart tv).

system restore shows a few windows updates I could try roll back but they were "critical" ones...

Any ideas on what to try ... it's very annoying! :angry:
