Some good points albert. It's always interesting to hear a bit more about the industry that all of us are involved with, particularly coming from 'outside' of the tech world, so to speak. It's a shame to hear of the attitude problems you describe, particularly if such is the norm and not the 'odd one out'.

I tried to have a quick look for developer opinions but so far have really only found the stuff from the reddit AMA, which was EA focused. This is a shame really as it'd be very interesting to see. I wonder if there are certain rules with regards to what employees can say, post release. This would make sense from the publishers point of view, I suppose!

Almost certainly they are simply not allowed to comment post release. Corp comms do this.
