I'm a sucker for pirates, yar. Fifty dubloons is absolutely at the top of my 'what am I willing to pay for a game limit' Plus I think I will have to sell my soul to satan and create one of those cursed Microsoft accounts, worse than getting the old black spot!

I'm going to read reviews and will probably have a go when it launches.

I hear you dude, parting with that gold has hurt me too, it's a lot of fun from what we've enjoyed so far, but never forget its got an unavoidable pvp element to it that can quickly spiral into being ganked by a 4 man team etc... so if that sort of thing would put you off be weary! We've enjoyed it so far, but we were winning while we played haha.

I'm a fully fledged converted pirate.

I really enjoyed playing the stress test this weekend, even though there wasn't that much to do. I really wish the stress test showed more of what the full game will include and that it wasn't £50!.

I do think the £50 is more about the normal price for Xbox one games. My very unscientific research (having a quick look at the Xbox site) shows most new, undiscounted AAA games are in the £45 - 50 bracket. So I guess that's why the price is as it is. I imagine some of Microsoft's 3rd party game publishers would be pretty annoyed if Sea of Thieves undercut them by a tenner when they charge the normal Jack Lord for theirs.

It's right at the top of what I'm usually willing to pay for a game but if what we played at the weekend was just a slice of the full game I'm in.

I do adgree with smilo, I had a true blast this weekend with friend on thisngame and I want to do many more hours of it, if it comes to 50 pounds and I have a bunch of great nights and weekends playing this then so worth it. If I only have a few good hours on a game like this it will be worth it. The stress test was a good look at the basics but I WANT to be a legendary pirate with you guys and gals

i have 12 months of game pass ,as sea of thieves is a game pass game so i'll be playing on my xbox x

Yes, i currently own both a Xbox One and a PS4 so i'm fully aware its priced for the console market. However, what i saw in the stress test wasn't enough for me to justify the cost. Hopefully the next test is open and more indication of what actually will be in the full game will be shown.
