I've started to stream now with a webcam as well as all the other bits and bobs...

The webcam on the microphone appears to be "overtaking" my normal headset microphone.

It doesn't do this via obs but rather on discord and I'm not sure what settings I need to change in order to stop this from happening, any ideas people :)

in discord you can set with voice device is used in the settings. make sure it's not the mic in there.

Also if it's set to windows default, make sure in the windows settings the cam isn't the default. HTH.
