The update has been released today, you'll need to download this to play patch notes here ----> https://rainbow6.ubisoft.com/siege/en-gb/game-info/seasons/grimsky/index.aspx

What's everyone's thoughts on the update?

Looking back on Para Bellum, I think that may have been the most balanced operation yet and my first impression of Grim Sky is the same.

Maverick is solid operator with a good utility, it takes some getting used to from the defence as his torch is so quiet and you'll find yourself being shot from somewhere that you thought you were safe from.

Clash is good but easily countered if she is solo - one melee is enough to leave her vulnerable to attack. I haven't played her much but I think she's better with team comms.

Haven't played Hereford much but it's big and very different.

I think they are great operators if used correctly, Hereford update is awesome not a fan of the new scoreboard layout love that you can finally mute people in chat

Yes mute chat is a feature that's been needed for a long time so great it's here now. Scoreboard is different I'm sure we'll get used to it

Having played a few games against Clash, I'm not convinced  having a defender with a shield is a good idea as it allows 2 people to push outside, one as the shield and the other as a normal operator and to push the enemy team outside and be protected.

I like mavericks ability. I use it to make a peep hole in a wall (a small one) and people keep walking past it and I keep killing people. It's quite good because it's pretty quiet so I think that's the point of it. An ability that can breach the reinforced walls without being super loud.

The new Hereford Base is absolutely huge. The upstairs has been combined into a couple of big rooms, as well as the downstairs. It is very easy to get disoriented in the new building. There are multiple ways to get into the basement from the outside and the breachable barriers have been increased throughout the map, making it more of a tactical decision in what to reinforce. Overall, it looks prettier than the old map. I like it but it will take time to learn it.
"Do you know what an artist and a sniper have in common? Details. Like when a touch of color is out of place. When a shadow does not match with its surroundings. Or when a shape is not where it is supposed to be. The only difference is the stakes. Mine are higher." - Glaz
