For what purpose?    The application has a big impact as to whether or not you look at e.g. an LDC or an SDC mic and which one.

Are you looking for a good podcast mic?  Do you need something that is just stereo, or do you need cardioid, bidirectional, omnidirectional etc?

If you are just wanting something fairly cheap to record your voice for streaming then consider a Blue Microphones Snowball iCE USB Microphone, currently £44 on Amazon (please use our dMw affiliate shop!).  But then you'll start wanting to isolate it on a proper mic stand and depending on range to the mic you might need a pop filter etc.

More info please!

That Blue Snowball would do an excellent job for what you want to do then. Loads of reviews around the net song very positive things about it and loads of satisfied customer/user comments too.

This guy is a professional voice artist. He has some good videos ranging from £20-£1000+ gear.

The Snowball and Yeti mics are USB condensers, so all the fun stuff is built in, but it also means you are stuck having to use them with a computer. If you went for a component level setup then it would be a lot more faffing with phantom power and such,

You'd have needed the arm and a pop filter for the others anyway. I think the Toner and the various branded BM800's have the same innards and have pretty good reviews for the price.
