Following on from THIS general discussion thread, I thought I'd make a poll to (hopefully) give us an idea of how many in the community are planning on picking this up.

There are certainly mixed feelings within dMw to EA games (Toby you can think up a suitable punishment for me to receive at the LAN for caving on this one), and there's every chance this could flop within dMw on or shortly after release. Caution is advised with preordering, there's no way to tell how this one will pan out.

That said, I'm really enjoying the gameplay in the beta and have decided to put my money where my mouth is and feed EAs demonic coiffeurs. Ahem. I picked the game up for £36 from CD Keys. Hopefully this gamble pays off and we end up with a group of us teaming up on Friday nights for a bit of (possibly nostalgic*) Battlefield fun.

Put down your stance in the poll and let's get an idea of numbers here. :yahoo:

*It was a Battlefield game that brought me to dMw in the first place, after all!

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Chaosphere

So I'll put you down as a maybe then?

Ha Ha.

Maybe.. if they get back to their roots of making great games, finishing them properly and charging a fair price which lands them a nice profit but doesn't empty my bank account. When that day comes I'll be first in the queue..... as long as I don't miss watching the spectacle hell freeze over first.

Buster

I've played a little bit of the beta and it seems pretty tight.  I've been looking to get back into a shooter for a while and skipped on BF1 so i might jump in this time.  I probably wont pre-order but will pick it up on release as long as it doesn't tank on review or announce any daft EA business models...

Remember, £36 on CD Keys with all future DLC included with your original purchase... the rest, who knows! :roflmao:

I think waiting for release is sensible Buster, and in fact is probably advisable with most games these days.

Oh I wish :woot2: But alas, I am just a provider of information. :(

Edit - and yes, I've used them a few times with no problems so far.

Revenant

It's a maybe for me. The beauty of the EA Origin Access thing is you can drop a month on that, play it for a month. Once the hype dies down, let the subscription lapse. No need to fully commit to spending the whole £60+ for the full game. I'll probably do the same for Anthem.

Chaosphere

Yeah that is not a bad idea, especially if uncertain about a title. Then I guess if you end up living it you can end the subscription and pick it up (if likely to save you cash).

Not many yes votes right now, but a good number of maybes! I'll be playing come launch, if it's any good hopefully we can convert a few of those into yeses :lmfao: !

Just seen that the battle royale mode isn't available until March. I'll probably wait untill nearer that time and pick it up cheaper.

Chaosphere

Yeah that's an odd choice... But then I didn't really buy it for it's inevitable BR mode, but for the standard conquest stuff tbh.

I'm going to wait and see what it's like on release.. if any good, maybe. If not will wait for the BR mode and then make a final decision.
