BFV - Friday Night

Hi all,

BFV unlocks for everyone tomorrow (thanks for that, EA). I'm aiming to jump on for a first go on either Thursday or Friday night (and maybe a bit of both). As PUBG is played on the Thursday, and traditionally BFV used to be a Friday night affair, why don't we aim to meet up for some games this Friday?

I'll hopefully be on and in an ad-hoc Discord room from around 20:00 - 20:30. Would be great if we can squad up for some games to see how this one plays. If you're keen to play and haven't yet got me on Origin, add me - dMw_Chaos.

Somehow I have also managed to avoid the hype and waited to purchase BFV, as you, Friday will be my first game. See you on the Battlefield.

Played a few games last night and really enjoyed it. That's probably just as I'm in the right mood for this sort of game atm. It remains Battlefield, and that is either good or bad depending on your position!

I checked, but the BF/ Black Friday sale isn't special for BFV, quite understandable. I bought Dragon Age Inquisition GOTY for â,¬12 instead. WW3 is discounted, and has had a big update but I doubt it'll be as good as BFV for that on and off gameplay for another year.

That's the peril with Black Friday. If the game got discounted anyone who had pre-ordered would quite rightly be furious. Imagine forking out the (IMHO EA extortionate price) of sixty quid and then seeing the game on sale for forty. So they really can't discount a game launched so close to the sale date. Shame as I'd have a punt if it was closer to forty quid.

Dragon Age is a masterpiece, I love that game.

At least when someone has spent that much money they can be confident that EA won't be releasing loads of paid for content, seasons passes etc. Apparently Dice have confirmed that all future non cosmetic content will be free. So sixty quid might not be such a high price.

Had I paid 60, as smilo said I'd be getting my pitchfork and driving to March for an early reunion!

Played a couple of rounds on my own before you guys arrived and thought it was a bit meh! Once we got in a squad it was much more enjoyable. Really liking it now. Lets make this a regular thing.

I also have brought the game and got to have a few games with out mr puff. The game seems a lot better then the beta and I hope to squad up with a few more people. Hopefully will be around next Friday to join you all
