I've just finished this 8 hour game. It's a very linear, narrative driven game with a relatively simple combat system and inoffensive if a little simplistic puzzles. It is also an absolute masterpiece of storytelling, an exploration of mental illness done with incredible sensitivity and features a lead character that I've come to care about and empathise with, more than any game character I've ever played. All for £25.00

It probably won't be everyone's cup of tea, but as a Gamer you should remember this game and point to it when anyone says PC games are silly nonsense for grown up kids.

Oh and there was some issues and negativity with the permadeath feature in this game. Your only game save will be deleted if you die too many times. Remember though,  there is darkness in this game. It is filled with truth but also lies, honesty but deception. You will never know what is real and what is illusion.

A couple of trailers for it, all in game footage of course.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

It is a amazing game and well worth the bafta it got. But I agree it is not for everyone, it is a small insight in to some mental illness.  I can't do more than 30mins at a time.

Sounds like one I need to try. Thanks for the tip, I'll keep an eye out for it in the Christmas sales I think.

This is now on the Xbox game pass. Just got a 7 day promo code for £1 from eBay, as I'm going away in about 10 days. Should be enough time to play through this one!

You can run through this in about 8 - 10 hrs. Hence the RRp of about £25.00 rather than £50.

My advice would be to do it in one or two sittings at most. It works best when you get totally immersed.

Found out only the xbox one version is included in the game pass :(

Guess I am still waiting then!

Shame as it does sound good.

Don't be a tightwad. Buy the game. It's a narrative masterpiece, promotes awareness of mental health issues and was a self funded punt into the unknown by a UK based developer without a Vampiric Publisher ruining everything.

Go sell one of those random kidneys you find strewn about the operating theatre after one of your bloodbaths.

Haha, probably I should but we've a lot of expense coming up and I've no income for a while now, so have to look after those pennies. It remains on the list though, I'll definitely end up playing it.

Is this a VR only title? Can't seem to find a way to play it 2D.

Ignore me, I installed the wrong version on steam. Need to switch.

There are two versions included, on Steam at least. I've a regular version in my game list and a VR version in my VR list on Steam.

I played up to the end of battling Valravyn. Nice story, great puzzles, logical battle system with a steam controller. Can't see the fuss about the mental health thing, it's just a story with the main character having internal conflict over decisions and choices in life, isn't this normal!
