Howdy adventures, are you confused on what you can do during combat ? Do you not know what all these numbers mean on a character sheet ? Or how to use these spells and when you can get them back ? Then here is a series that I would recommend to help you. I am using it as well so that I can learn all these things. It’s a great series from Critical role ( the main D&D podcast/series I watch and listen to) that show you the basic about how to play and things to know in simple 3-6min videos. Later episodes also involve videos on different classes and races which are nice to know for when you make a character.

Cheers Rogue.
Not in your game but I am in another one that's due to start soon and haven't played any real p&p since third edition. Will defo give these a watch to catch up.

This is a list of all the actions you can do while In combat as well as bonus actions and reactions. Worth a look to get an idea of what you can do say if you got not ranged attack or are in a spot of trouble

Good, funny podcast based on the same 5e rules Rogue is using. It shows you how RP is used to maximum effect and some of the NPC's are so good they have their own fan clubs.

Balnor is an NPC who joins the main group, the way he does this and his mysterious background is another thing entirely. Just get ready for a few 1000yrd stares..... you'll see what I mean, eventually you end up caring more about him than the main characters.

He appears in Ep21.

Just be aware that these are professional comedy writers and improvisers, but they are definitely playing the game to the rules and the campaign is bespoke to the main characters.
