Hi all,
My partner is looking for a gaming spec laptop for her 15yr old daughter. Alienware maybe a bit too hi-spec. 16gb, i7 (or i9), 1+tbhdd, minutes 15" screen. Any suggestions?

They all tend to charge (or did when I was buying) silly money for bigger drives from the start so consider getting a device with a spare slot or swap the drive yourself. Budget will dictate if you are going for function and spec or [also...] for style, design and build quality.

I'm doing well with my reasonably non-serious gaming using a gigabyte aero 15 with a 2060 ... except for the keyboard which I do not like (why do they insist on putting numpads on laptops :eyebrow:). It came with a 512 m2 and I added a 1Tb m2 in the spare slot. MSI still do the stealth and 65 thin, and there's a Razer Blade 2060 (I think the "base" one has a spare sata slot) for not a lot more ... it's a nice thing to use ... e.g. https://www.scan.co.uk/shop/computer-hardware/laptops-gaming/2837/3236
