Quote from: suicidal_monkey;446547Dredd ... guns and gratuitous death scenes aplenty, minimal dialogue, perhaps a vague hint of a desire for philosophical undertones that someone kind of gave up on ... fun, forgettable, don't expect much and it's just fine :flirty:

This film also feels much more acomplished when you remember what a complete pigs breakfast Silvester Stallone made of the original film.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Zog and the Flying Doctors - unmissable sequel to the original Zog film, featuring a strong female lead and tackling some of the big issues of the day. 9/10 and raising hopes for a fantastic denouement in the as yet untitled Zog 3.

Spider-Man; no way home 9/10

Loved it, bringing in the enemies from the other spidey films was a great idea, as it’s opened up the multiverse in the marvel film series. Not writing anything more about it as it will be spoilers

I love a western....and I really enjoyed this, great twist, not your standard fair and a few subjects probably not appropriate for young 'uns, but watch....Loved it.

Killer piñata í ¾íº...- yes it’s a horror movie about a piñata that looks like horstacio from viva piñata! 6/10 as it’s not exactly high budget movie, think it’s about a £3000 budget, but it is done well

The Batman, the latest installment in the batman series which I watched last night, bit of a long film at 3 hours but I was thoroughly impressed with it, the music is great and the general grime/grunge feel of the city and how it's presented was great. Good story too, hopefully they will make more.

I have also been watching the halo tv series, is anyone else watching it?

Yes, liking it so far, humanising the story of Master Chief.

Matrix: Resurrections - loved the first two hours as it went through it's "great action scenes while doing meta, self-referential slating Warner Bros and franchise reboots generally" routine  - didn't like the big "zombie" finale last 30 mins. Ultimately was well worth the rental on *streaming service of choice* - 8/10
